Dive into Key Largo
The warm, clear water of the Florida Keys is calling; come for a dive! Explore two underwater gems of Key Largo: The USS Spiegel Grove and Molasses Reef. Having a dive leader who is well acquainted with Key Largo’s off-shore playground ensures you’ll get the most out of your time in the water, and boy is there lots to see! The massive 510 foot USS Spiegel Grove was intentionally sunk in 2002 to develop a flourishing artificial dive site. Since that time, it has gained a reputation as the queen of artificial dive sites. Exploration of this beauty, named after the Ohio estate of US President Rutherford B. Hayes, is virtually endless and makes for an excellent Nitrox dive. Then, classic Florida Keys splendor is waiting just below the surface at Molasses Reef. Here you’ll discover an extensive reef that offers diving depths from about 10 feet to over 70 feet- there’s something here for divers of all experience levels. You can expect to find coral walls and ridges that attract an assortment of sea-life, such as regal turtles, gorgeous parrot fish and rays. Caves and ledges house lobsters, crabs and moray eels. Huge star coral, impressive brain coral, and other stunning beauties complete this underwater playground. Molasses Reef offers a fantastic drift diving opportunity. A three day, two night option is also available. Excellent opportunity to complete your Advance Certification or Nitrox class. Diving
Scuba diving in the Orlando is one Central Florida’s best kept secrets. Buried within the vast limestone aquifer that contains millions of gallons of fresh crystal-clear water are over 600 caves, springs and caverns just waiting to be explored. Many have been developed and preserved as regular tourist dive sites, but others remain undiscovered and are known only to a few local divers. The water is spectacular and always warm. The visibility is amazing, and the limestone formations are like those seen in Cousteau’s best movies. For the very experienced diver there are long underwater trails to be followed that are often as deep as 200’, while for the less experienced there are sites like the Blue Grotto, Ginnie Springs and Manatee Springs that will surpass your wildest expectations and keep your adrenaline pumping. From Orlando these dive sites can be reached within a couple of hours’ drive, and most local dive shops will be more than happy to supply maps and details. It is a dive experience that is far more rewarding than most shallow ocean dives.

Nature Tours
Reedy Creek, just south of Disney World, is the place where the Florida Everglades begins. This vast 'river of water' spreads south to encompass over 80% of South Florida’s land mass, and is home to all the natural animal species indigenous to Florida. This sensitive, ecologically protected swamp is easily experienced from an air boat, on horseback, or from a unique vehicle known as a safari coach. Whichever mode of transport you choose, you’ll venture deep into areas that contain the trails of the Native people dating as far back as the 1500s. Over 200 different species of birds live here along with alligators, black bears and white-tailed deer. Florida panthers, which are rare and close to extinction, have been sighted in this area, and it’s also the area where bald eagles flourish. It’s a photographer’s dream and one of the last places on earth to see so many unique animals.
