The Magical Mystic Beach Hike explodes with nature’s splendor. Stride over a fantastic suspension bridge, continue on a largely rooted trail and then descend to the beach with the help of fallen, notched trees that serve as stairs. At last, Mystic Beach presents itself, and you’re surely not disappointed. Now it’s time to discover its treasures. Wonderful waterfalls, intriguing caves, and even a walk-through arch (at low tide) make this a magical place to spend exploring, relaxing, and enjoying the fanciful flavor of a gourmet meal. China Beach Hike
Begin your China Beach Hike by meandering under the magnificent canopy of an established forest, abundant with spruce, fir and cedars. The smell of the forest soil, stillness in the air, and dappled sunlight mask the treasure that’s just ahead. It’s hard to believe that in moments, your toes will be sinking into a fine sand beach. But then it happens; the trail ends and in front of you is an impressive sea and gorgeous China Beach. Explore its famous tidal pools, scan for whales, take a short jaunt to view a lovely waterfall that spills into the ocean or simply relax and enjoy your gourmet picnic lunch. This time is yours. A full day begins at approximately 8:30am and you’ll be returned to your accommodation by 5:00pm. Half-day trips are more flexible and can likely be organized to meet your schedule needs. Gorgeous Hiking of East Sooke Park
Rainforest Tours gladly offers two guided hiking tour options of gorgeous East Sooke Regional Park; the Hike of Aylard Farm and the Copper Mine Trail Hike. This massive protected area boasts over 3,500 acres and 30+ miles of trails. Undoubtedly, this is a place you’ll find solitude at every amazing trail twist and turn. Your guide will expose you to the very best of this west coast wilderness, and you’ll be simply stunned at its diversity. Peruse your options, then embark on a journey that will pamper your senses. Hike of Aylard Farm Aylard Farm’s heritage apple orchard is all that remains of this area’s last settlement. As you hike through the meadow now speckled with clover and wild rose, you can imagine why deer frequently feed here and the solitude they surely enjoy. Your short walk takes you to a small, intimate beach where you can observe fascinating intertidal life. Then skirt a windswept bluff, move through the rainforest and emerge at a heritage lookout site. Here, you’ll see ancient petroglyphs. You’ve arrived at the perfect spot to sit for a moment, feast on your gourmet lunch, and let the idyllic ocean views overcome you. Copper Mine Trail Hike This hike is full of landscape surprises.
