Theme Parks
After just a few hectic days in Orlando at a couple of the many theme parks, you’ll be wondering how you had expected to visit all that this city has to offer in just one or two weeks. Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Wet 'n Wild... it would take more than a month to visit them all, and then you’d need to start over because the old ones are constantly changing while new ones are emerging. Before you visit Orlando you need to plan ahead, you need to decide which of the parks you must visit and which of them you’ll leave out this time around. You can save time and money by purchasing tickets ahead of time, and you’ll also avoid some of the lineups.
Starting at $48 USD -
Museums
Visiting museums in most cities in the world can be something of a stuffy experience, one that is reserved for academics, but the museums in Orlando are very different. As you might expect the museums here are entertaining, far from boring and completely devoid of any Latin names. Many have topical themes made popular by movies or books, while some are full of fascinating, little known facts and records pertaining to a wide assortment of famous people. Orlando does have three serious art museums, a Holocaust museum and a science museum, and a visit to the Kennedy Space Center should be high on your list. A favorite among most kids is Dinosaur World, don’t miss this, and just ignore the long Latin names.
Starting at $19 USD -
Wildlife & Zoo
Sure, Orlando may be known as being home to Disney World and Universal Studios, but it’s also got some animal-oriented attractions that have a family appeal. Seaworld is a popular destination, and Orlando’s proximity to the Everglades mean that a lot of tours depart nearby.
