• Beginner Group Lesson (2.5 hrs.)

  If you’ve ever thought of trying out this addictive sport (and who hasn’t?) here’s the perfect opportunity. Bruhwiler Surf School’s Beginner Group Lesson is an excellent chance to get a grip on surfing fundamentals and makes for a totally unique corporate outing, bachelorette event, or family vacation activity. You’ll join other wave riding novices and learn about equipment, wave knowledge, ocean safety and the basic moves to get you up and riding. If you’re in the surfing mecca of Tofino, you need to get on a wave; it’s as simple as that. Minimum age is 6 years, with proven swimming ability. You’ll start your 2.5 hour surf lesson with 15 – 20 minutes of instruction on the beach. Bruhwiler Surf School’s instructor ratio is 5:1 so you will receive a lot of personal attention! Bruhwiler Surf School provides transportation to the beach in a 1963 Mercedes Uni Mog military troop carrier; please ask ahead space is limited.

  If learning in a small group setting just isn’t your thing, or you’re an intermediate level surfer who’s yearning for that extra edge, a private lesson is just what you need. One on one instruction allows novices to pick up surfing skills at an accelerated rate and offers intermediate level surfers the perfect opportunity to improve specific skills. You know the water at Tofino is famous for excellent rides- here’s your chance to gain the skills to grab a few sets for yourself. Minimum age is 6 years, with proven swimming ability. Private surfing lesson lessons are ideal for couples! Lessons are booked by the hour, with a two hour minimum. Bruhwiler Surf School’s instructors are trained to adapt their instruction to every skill level.
