The Whistler area is home to many lakes and rivers, many of which are minutes away from downtown, making it a great spot to paddle. Go for a leisurely tour around nearby Green Lake and visit an old ghost town, or take on the River of Golden Dreams, a scenic journey that starts at nearby Alta Lake and heads downriver to Green Lake. For the more adventurous, some companies offer whitewater kayaking trips through some of the area’s more lively waters. Embark on a trip with a knowledgeable guide to get some added perspective, or head out on your own if you’re a more experienced paddler.
