Incredible Three-Day Mountain Bike Challenge (3 days)

Whether you’re a relative newcomer to the sport or a veteran single-tracker, this exciting three-day tour offers you a multitude of challenges. All along you’ll be cycling with Dan Cammiade, Vancouver Island’s mountain bike guru. Day One: On your first day, you’ll be exposed to a diverse set of trails located in the training area of the Canadian Mountain Biking Team. These range from single and double track for all skill levels to double and triple black diamond trails for more experienced riders. Recharge with a gourmet lunch and you’re off for more excitement. Now’s a good time to have your talent assessed; you’ll be amazed at the improvement you’ll see in your ability over the next three days of mountain biking adventure. Day Two: Today you’ll tackle classic west coast terrain at Broom Hill in Sooke. Broom Hill is an exhilarating mountain to ride; lush greenery surrounds you and the views you’ll catch are fantastic! Take a break for a gourmet lunch and then head off to explore a challenging single track or an easy-going open trail. There’s something on Broom Hill for every mountain biker, but don’t travel too fast or you’ll miss spectacular views of water, mountains and forest from Broom Hill’s highpoints. Day Three: Today you’ll value your newly acquired mountain biking skills as you head out to “The Zoo” on Mount Tzouhalem. This mount is aptly named after a Cowichan First Nation warrior and is significant to the Cowichan people. You’ll be pleased to discover a diverse collection of well-marked trails waiting to be traversed. As the day comes to a close, you’ll fully appreciate the challenges of your three-day west coast mountain biking experience! At the beginning of each day you can either get picked up from your accommodation or meet at Selkirk Station for equipment adjustments. While using Victoria as your home base, you will venture out to explore the different challenges of the BC coastal mountain biking experience.
