A full day excursion of the off shore waters of Ucluelet allows you ample time to appreciate the abundant fish population this region is renowned for. Plus, you’ll have time to reflect on some of the most pristine scenery you’ll ever encounter and the opportunity to catch sight of orcas, humpback whales, grey whales, sea lions, otters, bald eagles, and other land and aquatic life. • Mature Chinook Salmon are caught in saltwater beginning the first of May-September and weigh between 20-40 lbs. Coho (Silvers) Salmon, show up in July and run through September, peaking near the end of August. Silvers average 5-9 lbs. and get to be bigger than 20 pounds.

• Anglers commonly catch 20 to 30 lb Chinook Salmon all summer long, with some catches weighing up to 50 lbs.
