The commentary of your professional naturalist guide provides insight into the magnificent mammals you’ll encounter (most often, the pacific grey whale). But there’s even more to excite you; harbour seals, eagles, sea lions, porpoises, sea otters and puffins are just a few of the other magical animals you may spot. grey whales are seen throughout the season, as are orca (killer) and humpback whales. Whales are sighted often, but the wild nature of these mammals cannot guarantee a whale sighting. ‘Rain-checks’ are issued for a complimentary tour under these conditions.
