Then the moment you’ve waited for happens: your veteran guide spots a pod of orcas and offers insight into the lives of these impressive mammals. Let the adventure begin! This sturdy vessel comfortably seats 12 passengers. Each season brings its own wildlife-viewing opportunities. Spring (March and April) is best for viewing a multitude of waterfowl, bald eagles and baby animals on the islands. Porpoises are usually attention starved after being alone all winter! Mid-April is the start of orca-watching season, and they become more predictable in their behaviour about this time as they frequent the waters near the Islands. Sea lions are seen until about the beginning of May, when they depart for cooler waters. October into November is the time of year humpback whales are most likely viewed.

Your guide will select the most appropriate islands to visit given current direction and wind conditions. Each island offers a unique experience. Grand mountains serve as the backdrop to soaring blue herons, glistening waters, and fascinating rock formations. Children aged 7 years or older are welcomed when riding in a tandem with a parent. At lower tides, expect to see a sociable group of Pacific Harbour seals frolicking on the rocks. At higher tides, see seals poking their heads out of the water, often greeting visitors with their distinctive voice. Tsehum Harbour is completely protected and free from boat traffic.
