Ships of the Sea Museum

by Trusted Tours and Attractions - Savannah

Savannah has a long and interesting history of a sea port, capitalizing on the immense amount of trade between England and America in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, in the William Scarbrough House,  has a wealth of models, paintings and antiques documenting this exciting and profitable time.

The house itself is one of the earliest  Southern examples of the Greek Revival style, and also has the largest garden in Savannah's historic district.

  • Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am - 5 pm.
  • Last Admission is at 4:15pm.
  • Children under 7 are free.
