Hike Magnificent Mount Kobau

After an enjoyable short hike in the South Okanagan Grasslands Protected Area, you’ll arrive at an extraordinary spot that provides boundless views of Okanagan Valley, Similkameen Valley and the gorgeous Cascade Mountains. From this beautiful locale 6000 feet above sea level, you’ll even catch a distant view of McIntrye Bluff. Then, head off for one sensational photographic opportunity: “Spotted Lake.” Recognized as one of Canada’s most extraordinary natural attractions, the lake divides into spectrums of white, green and yellow pools during summer- thanks to super high concentrations of minerals. The Spotted Lake is 38 acres in size! What a wonder! The trail you will hike is comprised of well-defined loose gravel, and makes for easy travel. You’ll likely see some of Canada’s wildlife too, including Swallowtail butterflies, Brewer’s sparrow, mule deer, Turkey Vultures, marmot and black bears. This activity requires a minimum of 4 participants.
