Tandem Paragliding Lesson

Experience the exhilarating feeling of freedom that only flight can bring with a tandem paragliding session. Flying with an instructor is a great way to get a feel for paragliding and is perfect for first-timers. Your certified teacher will go over the basics before you run down a slope and sail up to 3,000 feet into the air, soaring high above the Maui countryside and enjoying breathtaking views. By the time you touch down, you’ll be itching to get back up in the air again. Highlights Choose from a 3,000-foot-descent flight (approximately 12-15 minutes of airtime, total time an hour) or a 1,000-foot-descent flight (approximately 3-5 minutes of airtime, total time 30 minutes). Instructors are certified by the United States Hang-gliding and Paragliding Association. Getting to Your Activity From the airport, take Highway #37 (Haleakala Hwy) for 13.5 miles to Rice Park. Turn left at Rice Park (just past mile marker 13) and then take your first right on Waipoli Rd. Follow “Waipoli Rd.” for 1.5 miles. After you cross a cattle guard you are almost there. Look for the Proflyght Paragliding booth, sign and wind socks.
