Hope to Hell's Gate Fishing Adventure
by BC Sportfishing Group
Combine your fishing trip with an in-person BC history lesson you’ll never forget. Hop on board a BC Sportfishing jet boat and explore the turbulent waters of the Fraser Canyon, where many gold rushers lost their lives trying to get to the fields. Then cast your line in hopes of hooking one of the river’s famous monster sturgeon (the biggest of which are said to be found here), or maybe a feisty salmon will give you a nibble. The excellent fishing is matched only by the area’s stunning natural beauty. You’re in for one heck of a day.
*This trip is available from August-November.
*This area can be fished year-round, with each month presenting an opportunity to catch a different species of fish. You’ll find trout and sturgeon in the area all year, with steelhead present January-April, chinook salmon June-October, sockeye salmon July-September and chum and coho salmon September-December. Every second year, pink salmon return to these waters from August-October.
*In order to aid with conservation initiatives, BC Sportfishing Group scans and tags all sturgeon for the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society.
*This trip departs from Hope, BC.
*BC Sportfishing Group’s boats can accommodate up to five passengers.
