The Seminole Tribe of Florida lays claim to being the last native tribe to remain in Florida. Today, there are six Seminole reservations in Florida, each offering their own local artifacts and handmade souvenirs, a glimpse into their village life, swamp and airboat tours of the Florida Everglades, alligator wrestling shows, and traditional weaving and beading demonstrations. At their Big Cyprus Reservation, the Seminole Indians have opened the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki museum as an educational facility for both visitors, and for Seminole children to learn about their heritage and culture. Here you can sleep overnight in a Seminole chickee, listen to folklore stories around a campfire, explore the Everglades at night, and taste the local alligator.
