Bear Watching Expedition (6-7 hrs.)

by Eagle Eye Adventures

Journey to a bear stand in Homalco First Nation territory and watch majestic grizzlies in their home environment. Your day begins when you step aboard one of Eagle Eye Adventures’ covered boats and head up the coast, where a knowledgable naturalist will fill you in on the role and importance of all the animals you encounter, which may include orcas, eagles, seals, whales and more. Then, you’ll arrive at one of three bear stands, where you can sit and watch grizzlies who have come to the area to feast on the fall salmon run. This is a day in BC that you won’t soon forget.

  • This tour only runs in September, during the salmon run.
  • In addition to grizzlies, you may also encounter black bears; orcas; humpback, gray and minke whales; wolves; deer; eagles; seals; sea lions; dolphins and porpoises.
  • This tour requires a minimum of six passengers.
