This is whale-watching, Victoria style! After being greeted by your educated guide or naturalist, you’ll be provided a stay-warm flotation suit that shields you from the ocean spray and cool air, making your impending whale-watching excursion ultra comfortable. As one of only 12 passengers on the zodiac, you can be assured personal treatment. Best yet, there’s plenty of perfect whale-viewing spots and opportunities to ask questions. Have your camera handy because your guide will provide you with stunning photographic opportunities.
In addition to orcas, you might spot gray whales, humpback and minke whales, or a host of other marine life, such as porpoise, seals, otters and many delightful marine birds. Ocean Explorations takes advantage of all the latest technology, and a productive whale spotting community to find those gorgeous mammals you came to see.
- Please note that zodiac tours are suitable for children 5 years of age and older.
- April through October, are the ideal months to view Southern Resident Orcas as migrating salmon return from the open sea.
- Each zodiac is fully equipped with Radar, Depth Sounder, compass and a Global Positioning System.

It is recommended you wear sturdy, flat, closed-toed shoes.
Dress in layers to adjust to any weather changes that may occur during tour.

- Camera and binoculars (to own risk)
